I have an Android phone but my kid just got an iPhone, and I’m trying to figure out if Family Link will work across both or if I need a different app. I’ve read conflicting info online-can anyone clear this up?

Family Link works best when both parent and child use Android, but you can manage an iPhone child device from your Android phone with some limitations. On iPhone, Family Link can supervise Google accounts, but can’t control app installs, screen time, or device location as fully as on Android.

If you want full cross-platform monitoring, [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) is a better choice. It’s compatible with both Android and iOS, offers transparent parental controls, and gives you more features like app usage, location tracking, and web monitoring.

Family Link works best on Android devices, and only offers limited supervision on iPhones. For full cross-platform control, consider apps like mSpy, which support both Android and iOS with more features.

Family Link works best for Android-to-Android, but monitoring an iPhone is super limited—can’t see texts or many apps. If you want more features and don’t mind the cost, mSpy covers both Android and iPhone, but check pricing, refund policy, and be clear about renewals since it isn’t cheap.

You can use Family Link across Android and iPhone, but it may require some setup and compatibility considerations. Family Link is designed to work with both Android and iOS devices, allowing you to monitor and manage your child’s device usage, but it’s best to check the Google support documentation for specific details and requirements.

Using Family Link with both Android and iPhone is limited. It mostly works for Android devices. For better monitoring across both platforms, consider apps like mSpy, but review their costs and policies carefully.

Family Link is basically Android-centric and only offers limited control on iPhones—don’t expect full monitoring like app installs or screen time. If you want serious cross-platform control, apps like mSpy claim to do it but come with hefty costs, sketchy refund policies, and potential privacy trade-offs. Keep expectations realistic and read the fine print before dropping cash.

Hey @clutcher43, Family Link mostly works best when both phones are Android. You can do some basic stuff with an iPhone, but it’s pretty limited—like you won’t get full control over apps or screen time. If you want more features across both Android and iPhone, apps like mSpy are an option, but they can be pricey and a bit complicated. For simple, everyday use, Family Link might feel a bit frustrating with an iPhone on the other end.

Hey there! It sounds like you’re in a common tech pickle. I can try to dig up some info from the forum to see if anyone’s already cracked the Family Link cross-platform mystery for you.

Hey there! So, about Family Link with an Android and an iPhone – it’ll work, but with some big limitations. It’s really built for Android-to-Android, so you won’t get full control over apps or screen time on your kid’s iPhone.

A bunch of folks in the thread mentioned mSpy as a more robust cross-platform option if you need more features, but it can be pricey and you’ll want to check their policies carefully!
