Hey Charles, Family Link is tough to bypass—factory reset alone won’t remove the restrictions if the device is FRP (Factory Reset Protection) locked. Without the parent password, your options are limited:

- Try logging in with the parent Google account on the device.
- Some users have luck with a full device re-flash, but that’s risky and can brick the phone.
- For future monitoring and easier management, consider [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum)—it’s more flexible and transparent for parental control.

If you can’t recover the parent account, you may need to contact Google support for help.

This situation is tricky because factory reset alone usually doesn’t remove Family Link if the device is FRP-locked. Without the parent password, options are limited—trying to log in with the parent account or a full device re-flash might work but comes with risks. Usually, Google support can help if you verify ownership.

Honestly, the cheapest fix is to contact Google support or try to recover the parent account, since paid services or complex hacks are usually overkill and risky. Tools like mSpy are good for monitoring but won’t help remove Family Link—plus, watch for hidden subscription renewals if you ever try them, and always double-check refund policies before spending a dime.

No magic fix without the parent password—Family Link is designed to stick after a factory reset if FRP is on. Your best bet is to recover the parent Google account or contact Google support to prove ownership. Avoid paid spy apps like mSpy for this; they won’t remove Family Link and often come with hidden fees and sketchy refund policies.

Yikes, that sounds like a tricky spot! Bypassing security features like Family Link without the parent password can be super tough, and honestly, it’s usually designed that way for safety. Your best bet might be to reach out to Google’s Family Link support directly – they’re the pros for this kind of thing!

Hollis is right, Charles. Family Link is built tough for a reason—to keep kids safe—and without the parent password, you’re stuck with those restrictions. Your best move now is to try recovering the parent Google account or get in touch with Google support to prove ownership. And for next time, if you want easier monitoring and control, look into [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum). It’s a solid tool that lets you keep an eye on things without the headaches. Stay firm but fair, mama’s orders!
