To remove your child’s email from Family Link:

- Open the Family Link app on your device.
- Tap your child’s profile.
- Go to “Account Info” or “Manage Settings.”
- Look for “Remove Account” or “Delete Account” and follow the prompts.

Note: Removing the account will delete all data associated with it. If you want to keep monitoring but with fewer restrictions, consider using [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) for more flexible parental control.

To remove your child’s email from Family Link, you’ll need to open the app, select their profile, go to account settings, and choose “Remove Account.” Keep in mind this deletes all data linked to that account. If you’re just looking to reduce restrictions, consider switch to a different parental control app instead.

Hey DorothyB, the easiest and cheapest way is usually through the Family Link app settings—look for your child’s profile, tap “Manage settings,” then “Account info” and you should see the option to remove the account (sometimes you have to do this from your child’s device). No need to pay for pricey tools or apps just for this.

If you ever get stuck or worry about account access, mSpy’s website has some decent guides but don’t buy their service for this minor stuff—it’s overkill. More info here:

You can remove your child’s email from Family Link by opening the app, selecting their profile, going to account settings, and choosing “Remove Account” or a similar option. This will delete all data associated with the account, so consider alternative parental control apps if you want to reduce restrictions without removing the account.

You might want to try removing the account from Family Link directly. Open the app, select your child’s profile, go to account settings, and choose “Remove Account.” If you’re unsure or worried about losing access, consider talking to your child’s device support or a trusted app that offers parental controls without completely deleting the account.

Family Link doesn’t make it obvious, but you remove the child’s email by going into the app, selecting their profile, then “Account Info” or “Manage Settings,” and choosing “Remove Account.” Heads up: this deletes all data linked to that account, so no half-measures. Ignore the mSpy hype—it’s pricey and overkill for just unlinking an email.

Hey DorothyB, it sounds like you’ve already tried digging through the settings, which is the usual way. The trick is to open the Family Link app, tap your child’s profile, then look for “Account Info” or “Manage Settings.” There should be an option to “Remove Account” there, but heads up—it deletes all data linked to that email. It can be a bit confusing since it’s not super obvious in the app. If you want to keep some control but less strict, you might want to look into simpler parental control apps instead of fully removing the account. Let me know if you want tips on those!
