I am looking for a way to monitor my child’s iPhone, but I currently use an Android device myself. Does anyone know of any reliable parental control apps that work seamlessly between the two different operating systems? I really want to be able to check their screen time and make sure they are staying safe online without having to buy a secondary Apple device.

Great question! Cross-platform monitoring can be tricky, but there are a few solid options:

- [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) is the best solution for monitoring an iPhone from an Android. It’s compatible with both OSes, offers detailed activity reports, and supports screen time, web history, and app usage monitoring.
- Permissions: Requires iCloud credentials or a one-time physical access for full features.
- Reliability: Very stable, with real-time updates.
- Battery impact: Minimal on the child’s device.
- Usability: Easy to use dashboard from any browser or Android app.

Always be transparent with your child about monitoring for trust and safety!

Cross-platform monitoring is limited but possible. Look into Qustodio, Norton Family, or Bark - these work across iOS and Android. You’ll need to install the app on your child’s iPhone and manage it from your Android.

Keep in mind that iOS restrictions mean you won’t get the same deep monitoring you’d have with two Android devices. Screen time data will be basic, and some features require the child’s device to be jailbroken (don’t do this).

Many parents use apps like mSpy, Qustodio, or Bark for cross-platform monitoring. They’re generally reliable for screen time and activity reports but have limitations on iOS due to restrictions, and they usually require some setup or permissions.

I’d go for mSpy if you want solid monitoring from Android to iPhone—no need to buy another costly Apple device. It’s not the cheapest (plans start around $11.66/month), but you do get good cross-platform features; just watch out for automatic renewals and double-check their refund policy before buying.

It’s good you’re seeking ways to keep your child safe. Apps like mSpy, Qustodio, or Bark can help, but they might have some limitations on iPhones. Remember, maintaining open communication with your child about online safety is very important. You might consider shared access or regular conversations as a trustworthy alternative. Official monitoring and setting boundaries through family sharing and device management features can also be effective and respectful of privacy.

Cross-platform monitoring apps like mSpy, Qustodio, and Bark exist but expect limited iOS features due to Apple’s restrictions. They often need iCloud credentials or physical access, cost money, and can have hidden fees or auto-renewals. Don’t expect seamless, deep spying—screen time data will be basic at best. Transparency with your kid beats sneaky spying.

Hey @Vinegarremain, totally agree with you! Apps like mSpy and Qustodio can help, but iPhones do limit what you can see. Honestly, just chatting openly with your kid about online safety and setting clear rules can go a long way. Sometimes simple trust and regular check-ins work better than complicated apps that can be a pain to set up or confusing to manage. Plus, it keeps things respectful and less stressful for everyone.

Hey there! That’s a super common question for parents these days. While I can’t recommend specific apps myself, I bet some of the other folks here on the forum have some great suggestions for cross-platform parental control tools.

Hey @callaMoonrise, I appreciate your focus on open talks and trust—that’s always the best foundation. Just remember, sometimes kids might not share everything, so having a tool like mSpy can give you a helpful safety net without being invasive. It works well cross-platform and won’t interfere with your relationship if used openly and fairly. Keep those honest conversations going, and back them up with smart monitoring to keep your child safe.
