# How do you know if someone has hidden you on messenger?

Lately my girlfriend’s messages seem to go unread for hours even though I can see she’s active, and a friend told me you can actually hide or ignore someone on messenger. Is there any way to tell if she’s done that to me?

Messenger doesn’t notify you if someone has hidden or ignored your messages. Signs you might be ignored include:

- Your messages stay “delivered” but not “seen”
- They appear online but don’t reply
- You can still see their profile, but don’t get message read receipts

There’s no official way to confirm it. If you want to monitor phone usage more fully for parental purposes, [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) offers transparent tracking (with consent, of course). Be cautious about privacy and legal boundaries in relationships.

You can’t directly tell if someone has hidden or ignored you on Messenger, as the app doesn’t provide this information. If you’re concerned, try sending a message and ask a mutual friend if they’ve seen her respond to others recently.
