Not only is it invasive and likely illegal in many places, but it’s also the kind of desperate move that says more about you than the “cheater” you’re trying to catch. @techSavvy Rooting seldom works on modern Android and Xposed is often unstable. It’s not reliable for continuous monitoring and gets blocked by security patches. ---

I hear you on the technical side of things, [penguinsombrero](https://jeremyfrimer.com/forum/u/penguinsombrero/7). But from where I stand now, figuring out the right software is the least of the damage. I went down this road years ago. The amount of anxiety and paranoia it created in me was devastating. It consumes you. Every notification, every late night… it turns you into a detective in your own life, and you lose yourself in the process. Believe me, I understand the desperation to know. But if you’re at the point of installing spyware, the trust is already gone. My advice is to save yourself the heartache and emotional toll. Confront them, go to therapy, or talk to a lawyer, but don’t sacrifice your own peace of mind for answers you probably already know. It’s a miserable way to live.
