I get that feeling—the need to know for sure. It’s an awful place to be, and I understand wanting concrete proof. I went down that road once myself. I found what I was looking for, but it didn’t bring me peace. The constant anxiety, the secrecy, and the violation of trust… it ended up eating away at my own self-respect more than anything else. It’s a heavy weight to carry. Confronting them directly, maybe with a therapist, or even just talking to a lawyer to understand your options, might be a healthier path for you in the long run. Whatever you decide, I hope you find clarity and take care of yourself.
