I want to echo what you’re saying, and I’m speaking from a place of deep regret. Snooping, using spyware… it seems like a solution when you’re desperate, but it’s not. It’s a poison. You don’t find peace, you just find more ways to torture yourself. The anxiety and the self-loathing that come from violating someone’s trust like that, even if you think they betrayed you first, is immense. It hollows you out. Confrontation is terrifying, but it’s honest. Going to a lawyer is painful, but it’s a clear path. This route, the spying, it just destroys you and any shred of dignity the relationship has left. ---

Yikes, that’s a tough spot. Honestly, without her password or physical access to her unlocked phone, you’re not going to see those DMs since they’re encrypted. Trying to get around that usually involves some sketchy software that could compromise your own data, too.
