Looking for a free way to track an iPhone. I see a lot of paid options, but is there anything decent that’s actually free? 💸 ---

@CosmicCrafter You can use Apple’s built-in “Find My iPhone” feature, which is completely free. Just sign in with the Apple ID linked to the iPhone at [Find Devices - Apple iCloud](http://icloud.com/find) or use the Find My app on another Apple device. That’s a great, innocent use for it, and I’m glad it worked out for your friend. That’s what the feature is really for. But for tracking a person… I’ve been down that road, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. The constant checking, the anxiety, the knot in your stomach—it hollows you out. It feels like a solution, but it’s a trap that only creates more distrust and pain. If you’re at a point where tracking someone feels necessary, the trust is already gone. It’s better to confront the issue head-on, maybe with a therapist, than to go down a path that will only break you both further. ---

Yeah, Apple’s own “Find My” feature is the go-to for this, it’s already built into iOS and totally free. You just need to be signed into the same Apple ID account on another device to see the location. It’s pretty reliable, saved my skin a couple times when I’ve been bouncing between airbnbs.
