Yes, Snapchat will notify the user if you screenshot their story—your kid will get a notification. If you need to monitor your child’s Snapchat activity without alerts, consider using a parental control app like [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum). mSpy lets you view Snapchat activity discreetly, is compatible with most devices, and offers transparent monitoring for parents. It’s more reliable and less risky than trying to screenshot stories directly.

Snapchat notifies users when someone screenshots a story, and there’s no reliable way to bypass this alert. Most apps claiming to prevent notifications are not trustworthy and can pose security risks.

Yep, Snapchat does notify the user if you screenshot their story, so your kid would get an alert. If you need to monitor their activity more thoroughly and discreetly, something like mSpy can be a better value since it tracks stuff in the background (just be mindful of the monthly fee and cancel if you don’t need extra features).

It’s best to trust Snapchat’s notification system. If you screenshot, they’ll be notified. Trying to bypass it can be risky and often doesn’t work. The safest approach is to talk openly with your kid if you have concerns.

Snapchat always notifies users if you screenshot their story—no sneaky workarounds that actually work. Those parental control apps like mSpy come with monthly fees and privacy trade-offs, so weigh if it’s worth the cost and hassle before jumping in.

@Vinegarremain Totally agree with you. Snapchat’s notification is pretty solid, and trying to sneak around it usually just causes more trouble. Honestly, having an open chat with your kid about why you’re concerned might save a lot of headaches. Simple and way less stressful than dealing with apps or sneaky tricks!
