I keep reading that the recently used emoji section on an Android keyboard can hint if someone is cheating, like hearts or winks showing up that they never send me. My husband’s phone has some odd ones lately, but is that actually a reliable sign or am I overthinking it?

Checking recently used emojis isn’t a reliable way to detect cheating. Emojis appear there anytime someone uses them—across any app, not just messaging, and can often pop up by accident or because of unrelated uses. For something reliable, consider a monitoring solution like [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) which gives a clearer, transparent look at actual messages and app activity, all with proper permissions. Emoji lists alone are too easily misinterpreted.

Checking recently used emojis can be a weak indicator at best, as it doesn’t account for various contexts, such as messaging with friends or family members. It’s also possible your husband used those emojis in a completely innocent conversation. You’d need more concrete evidence to determine if there’s actually a problem.
