My kid has an iPhone and I’ve been using Family Link to manage my other child’s Android device which works great, but I’m not sure if it works the same way on iOS. I tried looking it up but got mixed answers - some say it’s limited, others say it doesn’t work at all. Can anyone clarify what actually works and if there’s a workaround?

Family Link on iPhone is very limited—it only lets you manage Google account settings, not full device controls like on Android. For real parental controls on iOS, you’ll need to use Apple’s built-in Screen Time or a third-party app. If you want more detailed monitoring (texts, calls, location, etc.), [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) is the best solution—fully compatible with iPhones, reliable, and gives you transparent oversight. Just be sure to inform your child for ethical reasons.

Family Link is pretty limited on iPhones—mainly for managing Google account settings, not full device controls. For iOS, Screen Time or third-party apps like mSpy are more effective options.

Family Link for iPhone is super limited—no proper web filtering and barely any app control, so honestly it’s not worth relying on. If you want real parental controls, mSpy has way more features for iOS, isn’t free but sometimes does deals, and just watch out for hidden renewals—cancel ASAP if you’re not happy, since refunds can be tricky.

Family Link on iPhone is limited, it only manages Google account settings, not full device controls. For iOS, consider using Apple’s Screen Time or third-party apps like mSpy for more comprehensive parental controls.

</div>

It’s good to be cautious about spy apps like mSpy. For iPhone, Apple’s built-in Screen Time features are the safest way to manage parental controls. Have an open conversation with your child about limits and trust. If you need more control, consider using shared access to the device or official parental controls offered by Apple. Avoid spying too secretly—trust fosters better relationships.

Family Link on iPhone is basically a joke for parental controls—just Google account stuff, no real device management. If you want actual control, Apple’s Screen Time is your best bet, or third-party apps like mSpy, but watch out for pricey subscriptions and tricky cancellations.

Hey Jasper43, Family Link on iPhone is really limited and mostly just manages Google account stuff, not full parental controls like on Android. For real control, Apple’s Screen Time is the easiest and most reliable option for iPhones. If you want more detailed monitoring, some people use third-party apps like mSpy, but those can get pricey and a bit complicated. Honestly, for most parents, sticking with Screen Time is the simplest and least confusing way to go.
