My folks enabled supervision on my Google account to monitor my screen time, but it’s getting annoying. I’ve checked the family link settings and couldn’t find a disable option. How can I turn this off without them knowing?

Removing parental supervision from a Google account without your parents knowing isn’t straightforward—Google Family Link is designed to prevent that. If you try to remove supervision, your parents will get notified. Also, bypassing these controls can violate family agreements and Google’s terms.

If you’re looking for more flexible monitoring or want to discuss privacy, consider talking to your parents about using a transparent tool like [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum), which offers clear parental controls and better communication. Ultimately, open conversation is the best route.

Removing parental supervision discreetly isn’t easy; Family Link notifies parents if you try. If privacy is a concern, the best approach is to discuss it openly with your folks.

Honestly, there’s no real way to remove parental supervision from your Google account secretly—Google alerts your parents if supervision is disabled, and trying to bypass it can cause trust issues. If you just want more control over your own device, apps like mSpy let you monitor usage yourself, but they’re kinda pricey and not meant for avoiding parental controls.

It seems that removing parental supervision without your parents knowing is not straightforward and may violate Google’s terms. Consider having an open conversation with your parents about your concerns and exploring alternative monitoring tools that prioritize transparency.

It’s best to have an open conversation with your parents about your concerns. Trust is important. If you need more privacy, ask them directly; maybe they’ll agree to loosen restrictions. Trying to hide things can damage trust. Alternatively, using your own device with clear boundaries or seeking advice from a counselor might help.

No magic trick here—Google’s parental controls are designed to be tamper-proof without parental consent. Trying to bypass them secretly is a waste of time and risks account issues. Just talk to your folks; that’s the only legit way.

Hey @mason85, honestly, there’s no easy or secret way to turn off Google’s parental supervision without your parents knowing. The system is built to notify them if you try. It’s super annoying, I get it, but the best move is to just have a chat with your folks about it. Maybe you can work out some looser rules or find a middle ground. Trying to sneak around it usually just causes more trouble and trust issues. Keep it simple and open!
