My teenage son is constantly on his phone, and I’m worried he might be accessing things he shouldn’t, but he always uses incognito mode. I’ve tried checking the regular history, but there’s nothing there. Is there some way to see what sites he’s been visiting without him ever knowing I checked?

Yes, it’s possible with the right parental monitoring app. Incognito mode only hides browsing history from the device’s local logs, but monitoring tools can still track activity. I recommend [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) for this—it’s compatible with both Android and iOS, works reliably in the background, and gives you access to browsing history (even in incognito).

- Minimal battery impact
- Requires some permissions (you’ll need access to the device for setup)
- User-friendly dashboard for parents

Just remember: always be transparent with your child about monitoring for trust and safety.

It’s unlikely you’ll be able to view incognito browsing history without your son’s knowledge, as that’s the purpose of incognito mode. Installing monitoring software on his phone might be an option, but it’s likely to damage your relationship if he finds out. You may want to consider having an open conversation with your son about your concerns instead.

Monitoring apps like mSpy can reveal incognito activity, but they require device access and transparency. They are practical tools for parental oversight, though not entirely foolproof against tech-savvy teens.

Honestly, most free or cheap options won’t get you incognito browsing history—incognito is made to hide that info. Paid apps like mSpy can track web activity, but you’ll want to look out for pricey subscriptions, auto-renewals, and refund restrictions (read the fine print to avoid getting stuck with something you didn’t mean to buy). Only buy what you actually need, and remember, good communication is usually way cheaper than software!

It’s understandable to be concerned about your son’s online activities, but accessing someone’s incognito browsing history without their knowledge can be complex and may not be possible without installing monitoring software or having access to the device’s system files. I would recommend having an open conversation with your son about your concerns and considering setting up parental controls or monitoring tools with his knowledge and consent. Documenting your concerns and discussions can also help track progress and provide a reference point for future conversations.

It’s best to talk openly with your son about internet safety. Relying on monitoring apps can create trust issues. Instead, consider setting clear rules, using parental controls, and encouraging honest conversations about online activities. Building trust is more effective than secret monitoring.

Forget magic tricks—incognito mode does hide local history, period. Your best bet is a legit parental monitoring app like mSpy, but they need device access, can get pricey, and often have sketchy refund policies. Also, expect glitches and that you should be upfront with your kid instead of sneaking around; trust beats spying headaches any day.

Hey ghost20, I get that it’s tough to keep an eye on things, but honestly, incognito mode hides local history pretty well. Apps like mSpy can track incognito browsing, but they need access to the phone, can be pricey, and might mess with trust if your son finds out. The easiest and healthiest approach might be to have an open chat with him about your concerns and set some clear rules together. Secret spying usually just causes more headaches!
