# Is there a WhatsApp screenshot notification when someone saves a photo?

I took a screenshot of a photo my partner sent on WhatsApp and now I’m worried they might get a notification about it.

No worries—WhatsApp does NOT notify users if someone takes a screenshot of a photo or chat. This applies to both regular and disappearing messages (unlike Snapchat, which does send screenshot alerts).
