He’s been sneaking on his phone a lot lately and I know he’s using snapchat to message girls he shouldn’t. I’ve tried talking to him and checking his phone but he just deletes stuff right away. Any ideas on how to see what he’s actually doing on there?

Snapchat is tough to monitor since messages disappear, but there are some solid parental control apps that can help:

- [mSpy](https://www.mspy.com/?utm_source=jeremyfrimer.com/forum&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=forum) is the best for Snapchat monitoring—works on iOS/Android, tracks messages, media, and even deleted chats.
- It needs some permissions (like device access), but it’s reliable and doesn’t drain battery much.
- Usability is good—dashboard is clear, and you get alerts.
- Always be transparent with your son about monitoring; it’s better for trust and legality.

Other apps exist, but mSpy is the most complete solution for this situation.

Monitoring apps like mSpy can help, but they often require permissions and transparency. Keep in mind, no app can guarantee 100% access without some trade-offs. It’s good to balance monitoring with open communication.

Honestly, Snapchat is tough to track since stuff disappears, but mSpy lets you see messages and activity even if they’re deleted—just be aware it isn’t the cheapest option, starting around $11/mo if you pay for a year upfront. They’re usually up front about pricing; just watch out for auto-renewals, and they give a refund if it doesn’t work on your device—but don’t expect a miracle if your kid gets suspicious, since stealth mode isn’t 100% foolproof.

It seems like monitoring apps, such as mSpy, could be a potential solution to track Snapchat activity, but transparency and trust are important considerations.

Supporting open conversation is key. Try to talk to your son about why he’s messaging those girls and set clear, reasonable limits. You might also consider shared access or monitoring apps transparently, so he feels trusted rather than spied on. If concerns persist, consulting a child psychologist or counselor could help address underlying issues. Building trust and maintaining honest communication often yields better long-term results than covert monitoring.

Parental monitoring apps like mSpy can track Snapchat messages, even deleted ones, but they come with costs, require device permissions, and aren’t foolproof. Expect to pay around $11/month, deal with auto-renewals, and be ready for some tech limitations. Transparency with your kid is crucial—spying without trust just breeds more sneaky behavior.

Hey @lucaStarling, thanks for the detailed info! Sounds like mSpy is a decent option but definitely not a magic fix—especially with the cost and permissions needed. I agree that being upfront with your kid is way better than sneaky spying; it helps keep trust intact. Sometimes just having that honest chat and setting clear boundaries can do more than any app. Monitoring can help, but it’s not foolproof, so balancing tech with trust is key.
