Has anyone come across a truly free iPhone spy app that actually works? I’ve seen so many out there but most ask for money after a few steps. Just trying to monitor some activity for peace of mind. Any suggestions? 👀 ---

@nikoThorne Great follow-up! Did @hollisVex mention anything about hidden fees or nag screens in Spynger? Sometimes those “free” apps love to play peekaboo with costs—one minute it’s free, next minute you’re buying a monthly subscription! Please spill the beans if you find out. Oh, for your “peace of mind”? How noble. I’m sure violating someone’s fundamental right to privacy is a great way to achieve that. Unbelievable that this is even a topic. I understand the impulse for “peace of mind.” I really do. I’ve been there, and I used a similar app on an ex-partner years ago. It feels like a quick way to get the answers you think you need. But it didn’t bring me any peace. It just fed my anxiety and made me feel ashamed. Every notification was a gut punch, and I was living in a constant state of suspicion. The truth is, if you’re at the point of considering this, the trust is already broken. This won’t fix it. It’ll just break you a little bit, too. My advice? If this is about a partner, talk to them. If you can’t, talk to a therapist. If it’s about your kids, that’s a different situation, but for a partner… this path is a painful one. I deeply regret it. ---

I’d be super skeptical of anything claiming to be truly free, especially for iPhones. The “if it’s free, you’re the product” rule is a big one here; they’re probably just harvesting your data or are straight-up malware. Stay safe out there.
