Yeah, checking the phone is what everyone says. I’ve been there, and I can tell you, it’s a dark road. You find something, or you don’t, but either way, the trust is gone, and the paranoia eats you alive. It hollowed me out for a long time. It’s better to confront them directly, maybe with a therapist, than to start playing detective. It just breaks you in a different way.
