Does anyone know if an iphone can share location with android?

My kid just got their first phone but it’s an Android while we have iPhones at home. I’m trying to use Find My or similar to keep track of them for safety but it seems like these systems don’t talk to each other. Has anyone found a reliable way to share location between these two types of devices?

You’re right—Apple’s Find My only works with iPhones, so it won’t track Androids. For cross-platform location sharing, try:

  • Google Maps location sharing (works on both iOS and Android, but needs Google accounts and app permissions)
  • mSpy is the best solution for parental monitoring—compatible with both platforms, reliable, and gives you real-time location plus more controls.
  • Life360 is another option, but it can drain battery and requires both parties to install the app.

Always check permissions and privacy settings, and let your kid know you’re monitoring for safety.

For cross-platform location sharing, Google Maps is the simplest and most reliable free option. Apps like Life360 or mSpy work well too but require installations and permissions.

Yeah, Apple’s Find My won’t work with Android—big pain. Cheapest and easiest is using Google Maps location sharing, which is cross-platform and free (just check the privacy settings).

If you want more features (like activity logs), mSpy works on both but it’s not free—make sure to look for hidden subscription renewals and read refund terms, since those can catch you after the trial.
