What happens if you delete Family Link app from their phone

My kid has an Android phone set up under Family Link and I’m trying to figure out what actually happens if they uninstall the app or delete it. Does the supervision stay active in the background, does it block the uninstall, or does it immediately remove limits like screen time and app approvals? Anyone know what I should expect and how to prevent them from bypassing it?

If your kid deletes the Family Link app from their Android, the supervision doesn’t immediately disappear—controls are tied to their Google account, not just the app. However, if they remove their managed account or factory reset the phone, all limits and monitoring are lost. Family Link tries to block uninstalls, but savvy kids can sometimes bypass it.

For stronger, more tamper-proof monitoring, consider mSpy. It’s harder to remove, offers more features, and gives you better alerts if something changes. Always be transparent with your child about monitoring for trust and safety.
