My kid keeps finding ways around the restrictions I set up and I’m not sure if I configured something wrong or if it just doesn’t work that well. I enabled the content filters and added specific sites to the blocked list but they still seem to get through sometimes. Is there a trick to making it actually stick or is it pretty easy to bypass?
Safari’s built-in parental controls are decent but not foolproof—kids can often bypass them using VPNs, private browsing, or alternate browsers. They’re also limited in compatibility (mostly just Apple devices) and don’t always block every site reliably. For stronger, more transparent monitoring and better reliability, I recommend mSpy. It works across iOS and Android, gives you detailed reports, and is harder to bypass. If you want real peace of mind, built-in controls alone usually aren’t enough.
